Gasquet climbs into the last four in Geneva –

The French Richard Gasquet, 75th player in the world, qualified Thursday for the semi-finals of the Geneva tournament by beating the Pole Kamil Majchrzak, 81st in the world, (6-2, 6-4) three days from Roland-Garros.

Gasquet easily won the match in 1h27 after having already eliminated world No.2 Daniil Medvedev on Tuesday (6-2, 7-6 [7-5]) in the round of 16 of this tournament on clay. He will meet in the semifinals the winner of the match opposing later in the evening of Thursday the Russian Ilya Ivashka, 50th in the world, to the Portuguese Joao Sousa, 79th in the world.
