Lehkonen on his friendship with Gallagher:

“He helped me a lot. He was here before me, so he showed me the basics of the trade when I arrived in the League. I have gotten to know him quite well over the years by traveling with him every day. I got to know him quite well. «

Lehkonen on the confidence level of the Canadiens in close games:

“We just have to stick with what we do, play our own style of play and we know the results are going to come that way. We know that in close matches, we can take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to us. «

Gallagher on the group’s confidence level right now:

“I think our confidence level has been high from the start. I don’t think one can feel too comfortable or too confident. If we are too confident, the game will catch up with us. We have a confident group, but at the same time, we are confident because we understand the work that must be accomplished throughout the process. We left Vegas tied 1-1 in the series. That’s good, but there are some aspects of our game that we can continue to improve, and I hope we start doing that tonight and improve as the series progresses. We are confident, but we also understand that there is still a lot of work to be done. «

Gallagher on the appointment of Marc Bergevin as CEO of the year:

“One thing to know about Berg, if he truly believes in something, nothing is going to stop him from doing it. He had a vision of what our team could look like. He worked very hard during the off-season to build this group, we had some ups and downs, but I think we can see what he saw. He gets a lot of credit because he deserves it. He worked extremely hard. He has always had a lot of passion for our group. He believes in character, he believes in hard work, and I think that’s all our team is all about. I am very happy for him. I hope he wins because I feel like he’s under a lot of pressure being in a market like this. But, he doesn’t really care. He just makes the decisions he thinks are the best for our hockey club, and as a player that’s what you want. «
