Unlike our French and Dutch neighbors, Belgians cannot be proud of having a Belgian who has registered his name in the pantheon of the 500 miles of Indianapolis. However, of the Belgians who took the start of the biggest American race, there have been almost since the event has existed. As early as 1913, the 3rd edition of the Indy 500, there was indeed a trace of a black-yellow-red on the Brickyard entry list. And victory has sometimes been denied to most of them for little.
