Frenkie De Jong revived in January?

Frenkie De Jong was coveted throughout the 2022 summer transfer window by Manchester United and then Chelsea. The London club are already planning to try their luck again next January.

Frankie De Jong eventually stayed at FC Barcelona despite his club’s desire to sell him. Manchester United were interested but not the Dutch midfielder. This one, in case of departure, hinted in half words, that he had a preference for Chelsea. What has not escaped the London club. And the latter would like to return to the charge during the next winter transfer window 2023.

Nothing is certain for January

According to information from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are preparing an offer for the transfer of Frankie De Jong. It will be presented to FC Barcelona next January. However, the journalist remains cautious: “So far, the situation is completely calm. Frenkie wanted to stay at Barca so there are no immediate updates. Sure, Man United and Chelsea will be monitoring the situation but they know De Jong only wanted Barca with great clarity all summer. It will be months before we understand the next developments” he said in his column on the British site, Caughtoffside.
