French Cup: Football Club Bagnols-Pont moves to Vauvert this Sunday

A new coach for Bagnolais players.

Newly promoted to National 3, the Football Club Bagnols-Pont has raised many questions about its future, especially since the departure of Gilles Agniel, who will remain the coach of the climb no matter what.

On the field side, no departures being reported, the main recruits are goalkeeper Florian Nuesch (Bourg Péronnas) Abou Sow and Walid Sebaïkhi (Rousson), Walid El Kalai (Courthézon), Lahcen Bennasri (Les Angles) and Rachid Khallouf (Rhône Valley). The new coach will be Rachid Qichou from Pierrelatte, still assisted by Abdelkhak El Kati.

Play their best football

For their debut in the league, Sehayl Henda’s teammates snatched a draw against Onet-le-Château, also promoted, on a free kick from their captain at the very last minute (3-3). During the derby played in Beaucaire, the difference in level was cruelly felt with a final defeat (0-4).

Sunday, it will be time to think about the Coupe de France, just to restore order in the heads. The FCBP will have to go to Vauvert, resident of Regional 2, a club which does not have the reputation of giving up in the face of difficulty. It is therefore essential that Rachid Qichou’s players present themselves in an irreproachable state of mind and play their best football, like the one they produced at the end of last season to deserve access to the next level.
