Formula 1 | Verstappen and Red Bull, like ‘one big family’

Max Verstappen already has a few years of experience in Formula 1 despite his young age.

He has spent all this time with the Red Bull Racing family, where he still feels right at home. His relationship with team manager Christian Horner is also closer than ever, as he confides today.

« We have already had quite a few years together and I have to say that it is going very well. We have a very good time together, with Christian but also with the whole team. We really feel like we are a big family, » explains Verstappen.

« We of course try to achieve the same goal, but it’s also good to have these times where we can enjoy together and talk about other things than F1. As with the treble of races that we had, you have to travel from race weekend to race weekend and you can’t really make it through the house. We end up spending more time together than with family or friends. « 

“I think it’s great when we can have a good relationship with your coworkers. And in our case, we have a lot of fun and that’s important throughout a season like this where it’s happening. a lot of things. It’s important to remember that you also have to have fun. You have to enjoy the moment, and not just after. « 

The Dutchman nevertheless gives the impression of being colder and more reserved, on the outside, less attached to his team. But the image is not reality.

« I think it’s important to always be yourself. People have to decide for themselves whether they like me or not, I can’t handle that and I don’t want to be like that either. But I assure you, all is well with the guys. « 

“I’m here to win and get the best possible result for myself and for the team. Whether people like me or not doesn’t change my approach. I don’t need to shout from the rooftops that I am. love my guys every 15 days. «
