While the summer vacation period has allowed Formula 1 teams to begin discussions for the transfer window for next season, Alpine has not really started on a good basis. Positioned on Pierre Gasly, the French team could regret its choice.

We cannot say thatAlpine kicked off its recruiting campaign this summer. Surprised by the sudden announcement of Fernando Alonso to pack his bags, the team failed by announcing Oscar Piastri in its ranks next season. The Australian pilot quickly denied his arrival on social networks, causing a big flop. In the tournament, Alpine struggled to react but seems to be heading for the track Pierre Gasly to fill its ranks next season. With Esteban Oconthe pilot Alpha Tauri could form a 100% French duo but the soap opera is still far from over.

Another lead in sight?

As eyes turned to Pierre Gasly from this summer, Alpine track other candidates for next season. By recruiting Pierre Gasly, the team would have the assurance of bringing in an experienced driver capable of achieving great performances. Not necessarily in line with the initial choice ofOscar Piastri, pilot still inexperienced in Formula 1. If the French pilot can also have trouble finding a team, Alpine could put themselves in danger by making the wrong choice. According to some recent information, the team is doing tests on the circuit of the Hungarian Grand Prix to test pilots and could turn to the track of a young pilot.

A Gasly-Ocon rivalry?

If the two French drivers know each other by heart since they have gone through the ages fighting on karting circuits, they really don’t like each other more than that. Their rivalry would have been born precisely in adolescence and if they claim to respect each other, they could harm the balance ofAlpine. Potentially opposed next season, the two French drivers share the same destiny but their association could spark on the track next season. A risk worth taking Alpine which could pay off. The team has announced that the name of the teammate ofEsteban Ocon next season will be known by Grand Prize of Singapore.
