Formula 1 | Russell: Las Vegas won’t be ‘the most exciting to drive’

George Russell is not sure that the Las Vegas circuit will be interesting for drivers. But the resident of Mercedes F1 expects a particularly spectacular route for spectators and television viewers.
« It’s never easy to drive a Formula 1 on a circuit as fast as this » said the Mercedes driver during the show. « I think it probably won’t be the most exciting to drive. »
« But to you people watching, I feel like this race is designed for spectacle, for overtaking, for entertainment. And I think Sunday for us is going to be super exciting. But to be honest, I m don’t care a bit, as long as we’re in the lead. »
The Briton welcomes the growth of F1 across the Atlantic: « I think there’s more room for growth. After seeing this one, I don’t know where we’re going, but I think we’ll have a fantastic event here next year. »
« We will have three races in the United States next year. When you think about it, only three or four years ago there was a race and you didn’t know if it was going to continue. Now we have three races very solid, so I think it’s on track in the United States. »
