Charles Leclerc finished second to Max Verstappen in Miami after being passed early in the first stint and only a late safety car allowed him to challenge the Red Bull driver towards the end of the race.
After seeing his solid points lead dwindle in the last two events, Leclerc said it was important for Ferrari to react even though he claimed that “worry does not win us over”.
« Of course the Red Bull cars have improved. I think we all expected them to improve. They’re a very strong team and we know that. So it’s no surprise, » confides the Monegasque to us.
« But worry doesn’t win us over: I have faith in my team, and I’m sure they will bring improvements to Barcelona that will put us back in front. »
« I hope so because we are working well. And we have worked very well in recent years on our evolutions, which was essential to get back to the top. Ferrari also knows how to develop an F1! »
« So I believe these improvements will help us beat them again a bit easier than in the last races. »
