Formula 1 | Formula 1 renews agreement with Spanish GP until 2026

As we reported to you in recent days, the horizon was once again clear for a long-term agreement between Catalonia and F1.

After the green light from the Catalan government, Formula 1 confirmed this morning « that we have renewed our contract with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the Spanish Grand Prix until 2026. We would like to thank the promoter and the authorities for their commitment and support and look forward to continuing to build our relationship . in the years to come. »

As part of the new deal, improvements to the track and facilities will be made ahead of the May 22, 2022 race, including upgrades and improvements as part of the circuit’s sustainability plans.

Roger Torrent, Catalan Minister of Trade and Labor and President of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, adds:
