F1 will change its weekend format

F1 will change its weekend format from the British Grand Prix. Nothing will change in the action on the track, but the media duties of the drivers will evolve slightly.

Since the start of the season, press conferences have been held on Friday morning, before Free Practice begins.

From now on, the drivers will find a conference on Thursday afternoon, 23 hours before the start of EL1. The decision has yet to be confirmed, and it would see ten drivers participate.

Two 30-minute sessions with five drivers each will take place, while the other ten unscheduled drivers will be forced to participate in media duties with their team.

The bosses’ conference will always be held on Saturday morning, shortly before EL3. The teams had complained about a busy Friday, while the drivers were already expected to be present on Thursday.
