Formula 1 | Alpine F1 preserved its 4th place in the championship before the break

The fight for 4th place in the constructors’ championship has not moved in favor of either team in Hungary.
Both Alpine F1 and McLaren scored 6 points each, Lando Norris finishing 7th with 6 points, as many as Fernando Alonso (4 points) and Esteban Ocon (2 points) behind him in the top 10.
For the French team, there is therefore still a 4-point lead in the championship when the holidays are about to start.
« Thanks to the six points scored at the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix, the team maintains its fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship before the summer break, » welcomes Otmar Szafnauer.
« This in itself is a great achievement and it only increases our motivation to push further for the rest of the season, and especially in Belgium next month. »
« It was a tricky race for us, with different strategic choices within the peloton. We opted for a one stop with both our cars and therefore had to be very careful during the two stints – both with the Medium tires and with the Tough – to make sure we get to the finish with a decent pace. »
« We did a good job at the end of keeping some of our opponents at bay who had opted for two pit stops and were coming back strong on fresher tyres. »
“As always, we will review our run to see what we can improve next time. We will be ready to continue this great championship fight with our rivals when the season resumes at the end of August. loaded so far, the whole team deserves to take advantage of this break to recharge the batteries before the restart. »
