Former professional football player Ronnie Hillman, who won the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos in 2015, has died aged 31 from cancer.
His family made the announcement in an Instagram post, stating that « Ronnie passed away quietly and calmly today in the company of his family and close friends. »

He was diagnosed in August with a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer affecting in particular the red blood cells, which become rigid and sticky.
His condition has deteriorated over the past few days as he was hospitalized with pneumonia.
The family said on the football player’s Instagram account that further details of his death will be released soon, but ask to be given time before sharing more.
Hillman played five seasons in the NFL as running back, between 2012 and 2016, for the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers.
