Former NFL player David Patten accidentally dies

He was the one to receive the ball in Tom Brady’s first touchdown in a Super Bowl. It was February 2002 and the New England Patriots beat the Saint-Louis Rams in New Orleans (20-17). It was the first of three Super Bowls won by David Patten with the « Pats » before those of 2004 and 2005. The former wide receiver, who played in the NFL on six different teams from 1996 to 2008 for a total of 24 touchdowns, died Thursday at the age of 44 in Columbia, South Carolina in a motorcycle accident he apparently had he, caused when crossing the center line.
