Football Ligue 1 – Lille will play at the Decathlon Arena!

The naming of the Lille stadium, which has remained unsuccessful for several years, has finally found a taker.

France Bleu announces that the Métropole de Lille has accepted the offer from a sports equipment giant. On June 9, the new name of the Stade Pierre Mauroy will be given, and it is called the Decathlon Arena. The low-cost sports giant is historically based next door in Villeneuve d’Ascq. This confirms Decathlon’s commitment to French football, since the ball for the professional divisions will be of the Kipsta brand. The contract with the Lille stadium will bring 6 million euros over 5 years to the Metropolis, which pays 16 million euros in costs to the builder each year.
