After the beautiful first week of the French clubs in the European Cup, it is the violent tumble during this second day. French clubs, apart from PSG which won in Haifa, have failed to win a single game. And yet, the program of the adversaries was not necessarily dizzying, with no team from a top European championship apart from OM facing Frankfurt, which is not a tenor in the Bundesliga either. Rennes and Nice got the point of the draw, and for the rest, they were defeats which terribly undermined the UEFA index of France. Unlike Spain or Portugal, which have taken their place on the podium for this season, or England, Germany and Italy, which are already in the Top10, France is not taking off and is 18th place. Stuck between Hungary and Sweden, the tricolor formations do not find themselves at this level by chance either, since this Thursday the Hungarian club Ferencvaros beat AS Monaco at Louis-II.
