Hundreds of fake accounts were created last April to provide messages of support for the Super League on social networks, according to information from a digital firm. These accounts would, at present, still be activated. Spanish media El Confidencial reveals this Thursday that according to the detailed report drawn up by the consulting firm Pandemia Digital, to which this newspaper had access, hundreds of « bots » or « trolls » were created simultaneously last April to support the Super League project on social networks, through the hashtag: #EstamosContingoPresi (« we are with you president », in French). This hashtag would have been created to defend Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, and at the initiative of the Super League project, in agreement with 11 other big European clubs, such as FC Barcelona or Juventus Turin. The message : « The Super League is a good idea and will revolutionize football », was notably one of the most used automatic tweets on this hasstag. « If we analyze the users who put the most tweets, we see that they have hundreds of thousands of automated tweets, several per second, and that they retweet, for the most part, only the official networks of Real Madrid », the report continues. Tebas and Ceferin threatened by some of these accounts This « Deception » would have been commissioned to manipulate opinion on the Super League on social networks, and reverse the balance with more positive opinions.
