Five consecutive clean sheets in Ligue 1, a rare series for LOSC

If Lille disappointed offensively against Saint-Etienne, the Lille defense chained a fifth consecutive clean sheet in Ligue 1, a symbol of its regained solidity.

By keeping a clean sheet, LOSC achieved a rare performance in the 21st century for Les Dogues: this is only the fifth time that the Lille defense has remained undefeated in five consecutive Ligue 1 games. The previous four times? Five games during the 2002-2003 season (between J33 and J37), 2004-2005 (between J5 and J9) and 2020-2021 (between J21 and J25), but above all eleven games during the 2013-2014 season (between J6 and J16). If Leo Jardim and his teammates repeat this performance next Saturday, they will be one step closer to Vincent Enyeama’s streak and his defense nine years ago.
