First major final for Tsitsipas

The Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, world No. 5, qualified for his first Grand Slam final at Roland Garros by defeating the German Alexander Zverev (6th) in five sets 6-3, 6-3, 4 -6, 4-6, 6-3 Friday.

In the final, Tsitsipas will challenge either Rafael Nadal, 13 times crowned on Parisian clay, or world No.1 Novak Djokovic, opposed in the second semi-final. At 22, he became the first Greek player to invite himself to the major final, the youngest player to do so since Andy Murray in 2010. Tsitsipas had lost his first three semi-finals in the Grand Slam.
