FIFA Ranking (Women’s Football): Morocco 7th in Africa


FIFA published this Thursday, October 6 its ranking of men’s and women’s national teams. If the Atlas Lions have climbed a rung from 23rd to 22nd rank, the Lionesses have remained in 7th place in the world.

At the African level, the national team is therefore positioned in 7th place behind Nigeria (1st), South Africa (2nd), Cameroon (3rd), Ghana (4th), Côte d’Ivoire (5th ), Equatorial Guinea (6th) and ahead of Tunisia (8th), Algeria (9th) and Zambia (10th).

However, while remaining 7th in Africa, they added a few points to their total. They go from 1315.41 to 1320.9 (+5.51) reducing the gap with Equatorial Guinea sixth in the African ranking.

Zambia made the best progress in terms of points and places (+89.78 points) / (+23 places).

Nigeria recorded a huge drop in terms of points (-69.33 points).

At the global level, the United States leads the world ranking, followed by Germany, Sweden, England and France, which closes this top 5.
