Since 1947, when the brand was created, a car stamped with the prancing horse has been synonymous with speed, exclusivity and beauty. As a result, during the « 75 anni di Ferrari » exhibition, several emblematic vehicles can be admired, each with its own history. Among the exclusive models present at Autoworld, we will notably find the Dino 206, the Daytona Michelotti, the 195 Inter Ghia, the 500 Superfast, the 250 GT Spider LWB or the 308 GTS. In addition to (re)discovering its racing cars, visitors will also be able to learn more about the very world of Ferrari and the history of the famous logo. The latter finds its origin in Francesco Baracca, an Italian pilot of the First World War. Before the conflict, he had joined the second cavalry regiment « Piemonte Reale », symbolized by a prancing horse. During the war, he had painted it on his plane. Enzo Ferrari will take it over later after meeting Francesco’s mother, who died at the front. It will not be the only anniversary celebrated on Belgian soil, since 70 years ago, the driver Jacques Swaters became the official importer of Ferrari for the Benelux. Belgium has become the first Ferrari importing country in Europe, the second in the world after the United States. (Belga)
