Ferrari unveils the name of its new single-seater

Before its official presentation scheduled for February 17, the new Ferrari designed for the 2022 Formula 1 season has been baptized. The future car of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz is called F1-75. This is a reference to the 75th anniversary of the first Ferrari leaving the factory in 1947.

“Formula 1, with its spirit of competition and innovation, has always been a fundamental part of Ferrari, driving the technological development of our road cars. As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of our first production car leaving the factory, we are honoring that spirit by naming our 2022 F1 single-seater the Ferrari F1-75.”, commented Ferrari boss John Elkann. Outclassed by Mercedes and Red Bull in 2021 with no wins to its name, the Scuderia is banking on the new regulations to return to victory and fight for the title of world champion again. A drivers’ crown that has eluded him since 2007 and the coronation of Kimi Raïkkönen.
