Electronic Arts recently unveiled some news for NHL 22, the game that represents this season of the competition of the same name, and which we had the opportunity to try out here.

According to the American company, NHL 22 is about to receive the first female teams in history, in a video game in the series.

Playable women’s teams will be available for the first time in the NHL (in the year 2022), along with the IIHF women’s teams and the World Championship. Players will be able to celebrate this golden age of women’s hockey by playing with their favorite teams and players. Starting in early 2022, players can hit the ice with US team icon Hilary Knight and Hockey Canada captain Marie-Philippe Poulin, among other stars.

But more… EA SPORTS has stepped up the globalization of NHL 22 with the inclusion of content from the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation), which is now available in-game as part of the latest game update. As a result, players can now strap on their skates and compete in the prestigious World Junior Tournament and view updated jerseys and branding for men’s teams.
