Fantasy Football 2021 – The recap after the 13th day

Back on the week of Fantasy, with a return to form for Kyler Murray, and several very big performances for receivers. We also take stock of the Waivers to expand your workforce for the home stretch.

Thanks to a strong defense in Chicago, Kyler Murray did not have to force his talent for his return from injury (123 yards in the air, 59 on the ground). But the QB was still very efficient and he finished with 4 touchdowns, 2 on the pass and 2 on runs.

Holder in the absence of Melvin Gordon, the rookie Javonte Williams took advantage of the opportunity. The RB often had the ball and responded by signing a game over 100 yards on the ground, and he was invaluable in the aerial game with 6 receptions for 76 yards and 1 touchdown. The same goes for David Montgomery, who signs a full game this weekend. The Bears RB has 90 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground, as well as 8 receptions for 51 more yards.

Several massive performances in receivers this week. We start with Justin Jefferson, who has consistently managed to stand out against the Lions and who finishes with 11 receptions, 182 yards and 1 touchdown. We continue with Diontae Johnson, who signs 105 yards and a double in the victory of the Steelers against the Ravens. We continue with Chris Godwin, who offers himself a franchise record with 15 receptions, for 143 yards. And we finish with TE George Kittle, who signs a monstrous match with 9 receptions, 185 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In a 7-game loss total between the Chargers and the Bengals, the LA franchise emerged victorious. She also signed the highest fantasy score for a defense this week. At the foot, Jake Elliott is illustrated with a 7/7.

Waivers: Players to add this week

Quarterbacks

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

Despite his complicated match and 4 interceptions, Taysom Hill produced a good score in Fantasy thanks in particular to his 101 yards on the ground. The number of lost balls should drop in most games, and that against the Jets next week is favorable.

Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers)

A good game and a catastrophic performance… Cam’s return to the Panthers is bipolar for the moment and that may make it doubtful for the future. We are ready to give him a second chance, in a favorable match against Atlanta, and after a « bye week » which will have allowed the team to work with him.

Other QBs to follow: Taylor Heinicke (WAS), Gardner Minshew (PHI)

Running-backs

Dontrell Hilliard & D’Onta Foreman (Tennessee Titans)

We were already talking about it in the previous edition and the two RBs had a week of rest to regain their strength. The two may shoot each other, but they can also both perform against Jacksonville this weekend.

Telvin Coleman (New York Jets)

Since Michael Carter’s injury, he’s been clear number 1 on the New York backfield. Coleman has the vast majority of the balloons on the ground, and he also actively participates in the aerial phases. It is a decent choice in PPR.

Other BRs to follow: Chuba Hubbard & Ameer Abdullah (CAR), Adrian Peterson (SEA), Samaje Perine (CIN)

Receivers

KJ Osborn (Minnesota Vikings)

He’s a solid complement WR for the Vikings, and his role is set to expand in the coming weeks due to Adam Thielen’s injury. Osborn will logically be option number 2 or 3, behind Justin Jefferson and perhaps Tyler Conklin.

Russell Gage (Atlanta Falcons)

A little disappointing at the start of the season, Russell Gage has been much better in recent weeks. Calvin Ridley’s absence makes him a major WR for Matt Ryan, and he stays in 2 very good games. He thus caught 11 passes for 130 yards this weekend.

Other WRs to follow: Amon-Ra St. Brown & Josh Reynolds (DET), DeVante Parker (MIA), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (GB)

Tight-ends

Tyler Conklin (Minnesota Vikings)

An interesting presence in the redzone for the Vikings, Tyler Conklin has tended to be too dependent on touchdowns in Fantasy this season. Due to the injury of Adam Thielen, his playing volume should increase and his presence in the redzone will remain key.

Ricky Seals-Jones (Washington Football Team)

Again injured (knee), Logan Thomas will return to the infirmary for a while. RSJ will therefore find the role of TE number 1 for Washington, a role he had filled very well during the absence of his teammate.

Other TEs to follow: Gerald Everett (SEA), Cole Kmet (CHI)
