Fallon jokes with photos of NHL players at the Tonight Show

To highlight the current Stanley Cup Playoffs, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon made fun of a few NHL players on their late night show Thursday.

Fallon picked up pictures of a few players from teams that made the playoffs and made some good jokes the hard way. Everything goes there, especially the young child look of the Montreal Canadiens striker Cole caufield and Colorado Avalanche forward Alex newhook as well as the serious gaze of the Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor hedman.

The host would name each player’s team and position before making up information about them, such as saying the Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jordie benn looks like a mountain man cooking dead animals on the road.

Avalanche attackers JT Compher and Logan o’connor as well as the Canadiens’ defender Jon merrill did not escape Fallon’s mockery.

On Twitter, the Avalanche joked that they had learned new things about their players.

This segment of the show, called Fast Stats, was a somewhat different format from the popular Fallon NHL Superlatives segment that aired a few years ago.
