Falcons: big extension for Grady Jarrett

While the Matt Ryan era is over, the Falcons aren’t ready to turn the page on Grady Jarrett.

According to Ian Rapoport (NFL Media), Atlanta and the defensive tackle have agreed to a 3-year contract extension for $51 million, including $34.5 million guaranteed.

A two-time Pro Bowler, once selected to the All-Pro second team, Jarrett has missed just three games since joining the league in 2015. Selected in the fifth round by the Falcons, he proved to be a great shot .

Less prominent last season, he managed only one sack, but still 59 tackles and 12 quarterback hits.

Jarrett had a great game in the Super Bowl in Atlanta against the Patriots. Author of three sacks, he was set to be one of the great men of the game, until everything collapsed for his team.
