F1 Will the Ferraris turn yellow for the Italian GP?

Ferrari are set to introduce a special livery for the Italian Grand Prix this weekend and the F1-75s may well be heading to the ‘Giallo Modena’!

The Maranello-based team have unveiled an updated color scheme on their garage doors at Monza, which hosts the 16th fixture of the 2022 season.

Additionally, the team posted a message on social media with its drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc wearing yellow t-shirts.

The jerseys were released to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Ferrari brand, born in 1947 with the V12-powered 125 barquette.

It was confirmed at the launch of the t-shirts that pilots “will also have a yellow car for the Monza race”.

Ferrari have used special decos in the past, most recently at the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix to celebrate 1000th race in F1.

When we think of a yellow Ferrari, we naturally think of the frames entered under the banner of the Ecurie Nationale Belge and the Ecurie Francorchamps in Formula 1 but also in sports cars.

Yellow is also the color of the city of Modena and is echoed in the legendary prancing horse crest that the Scuderia has used in competition since 1932.
