The timetables for the Grand Prix of Qatar, the penultimate round of this 2021 Formula 1 World Championship, have finally been published.
Liberty Media, the promoter of the Formula 1 World Championship, has just communicated the timetables for the Grand Prix of Qatar, which has been chosen to replace Melbourne on the calendar this season.
The first two free practice sessions will start at 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time on Friday 19 November. There will be a two hour time difference with France when we switch to winter time.
On Saturday, the third free practice session will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time, before qualifying kicks off at 5 p.m. Sunday, the start of the very first Formula 1 Grand Prix in the history of Qatar will be given at 5 p.m. local at the Losail circuit (3 p.m. in France).
This Grand Prix of Qatar will be the first part of the final triptych of this 2021 Formula 1 season, which will be punctuated by the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. It will also settle longer in the F1 landscape because the promoters of the premier category of motorsport have initialed a contract which ensures the Grand Prix of Qatar its place on the calendar for ten years from 2023, on a circuit which could be new.
There will be no race in 2022 so as not to interfere with the organization of the FIFA World Cup.
