Even the Warriors’ B team dominate the Pistons | NBA

Deprived of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Otto Porter Jr, the young Warriors, well surrounded by Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney, confirmed that they could take over from their elders.

In the wake of a Jordan Poole in Steph Curry mode, the Warriors started the game with a 17-4 but their loss of balls allowed the Pistons to pick up the score (26-23). The scenario is repeated before the break. Poole added 11 points in the second period but the blunders of the Warriors, associated with five award-winning shots from the duo Cade Cunningham – Frank Jackson, keep the locals in ambush (56-51).

After Jordan Poole, it is Andrew Wiggins who allows the Warriors to take off in the third quarter. With 10 points from the Canadian and Juan Toscano-Anderson as Draymond Green, Golden State goes to +16 (86-70). Still behind, the Pistons however returned to -4 behind a Frank Jackson still successful and a Cade Cunningham who takes his responsibilities (104-100).

Jerami Grant and Frank Jackson will even have the equalizer but the Warriors hold on to return to San Francisco with 14 wins and 2 losses.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

Cade Cunningham has already taken the helm. The number one of the last Draft led the furious comeback of the Pistons in the last five minutes. He found his shot, went looking for fouls, and served his teammates to restart the game and give his team a chance to send the game into overtime.

The Warriors are playing it safe. For their fifth game in seven days, second in back-to-back, and fourth in a row away, the Warriors staff preferred to spare Stephen Curry’s hip, Draymond Green’s still sore thigh, Otto Porter Jr and the knee of Andre Iguodala. If the top three should return to Toronto on Sunday, Steve Kerr wanted to be more cautious about Iggy’s status. His right knee swelled, even before the few hours of the flight back from Detroit to San Francisco, and he is expected to be in the hospital wing for a few more days.

TOPS / FLOPS

Jordan Poole. After experiencing a new fuel outage in the last five games, the former Michigan player took advantage of the absence of Stephen Curry to get back on track. He started the game aggressively to score 22 of his 32 points in the first half with 60% success on shots.

Andrew Wiggins. Expected at the turn tonight, the winger once again proved he was back to his level of last season. “Wiggs” was effective on offense (27 points), and a leader on the other side of the field.

Frank jackson. The former Pelican, product of Duke, kept Detroit in ambush throughout the game thanks to his skill (27 points, 53%).

Killian Hayes. The French leader was again behind this night (3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist). He largely lost his duel against Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II.
