Erling Haaland move to Manchester City: Next stars to move could include Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski
[ad_1]
With Erling Haaland’s move to Manchester City becomes official, his transfer should be the first big domino to fall in what is expected to be a busy summer. Many of the world’s top talents could potentially move on and there will be no shortage of suitors. A summer after seeing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi make moves, this next crop could be just as exciting. Here are the names to watch, who should be interested, the best fit and a prediction of what will happen to the rest of European football’s biggest stars.
Kylian Mbappe
The next big thing, the player who is set to become the new ‘Messi or Ronaldo’, is the hottest name on the summer transfer market. It’s because of a combination of things though. Firstly, he’s just an elite talent and will only get better with multiple Ballon d’Ors possibly in his future, but his contract also expires this summer, making him a free agent. PSG risk losing him and getting nothing in return if he does not re-sign. The Real Madrid rumors have been around for a long time, and although there have been rumors that he could stay in Paris, he has the chance to join compatriot Karim Benzema for a team that could well win the Champions League.
Teams likely to show interest: Real Madrid, Liverpool
Best Fit: real Madrid
Provide: signs a five-year contract with Real Madrid
Robert Lewandowski
The Polish superstar striker’s contract does not expire until June 30, 2023, but there has been a lot of noise about his potential arrival at Barcelona. Why? Who knows, really. Maybe he wants to test himself in a new league, and it would be interesting to see him, for example, in Spain or England. Maybe he wants to sign a contract extension and his current side don’t play ball, but Bayern are still built to win the UCL again, and without Lewandowski they just aren’t as strong. He could go anywhere and produce a 30-goal season, but in the end I think he stays.
Teams likely to show interest: FC Barcelona, Manchester United
Best Fit: Bayern Munich
Provide: Stay at Bayern Munich
Mohammad Salah
The Egyptian, like Lewandowski, has a deal until 2023 but so far he and Liverpool haven’t agreed on a contract extension. We would expect him to stay with the Reds. After all, he has an amazing relationship with Jurgen Klopp, Sadio Mane and others. But could he be tempted by some of the other big clubs in the world? He has taken his career to new heights at Anfield, and it seems almost impossible for Liverpool to let him go.
Teams likely to show interest: PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona
Best Fit: liverpool
Provide: Re-sign with Liverpool
Paul Pogba
Oh pogba. When he’s not at Manchester United, it’s something else. But like many with the Red Devils, his quality is simply declining due to a lack of chemistry, like much of the squad who are just underperforming. Pogba is 29, his contract expires this summer and he’s more or less wasted the last six years of his United career, although his bank account surely says otherwise. Winner of the World Cup, he could be thirsty for stability in the club. Rumors have swirled recently about a possible move to Man City, but it certainly looks like a return to Juventus or a return to France and joining PSG makes a lot of sense. When focused and focused, he can change a team’s season for the better, but he has to find a place where there’s immediate chemistry and minutes to spare.
Teams likely to show interest: PSG, Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City
Best Fit: Juventus
Provide: Join PSG on a free transfer
paulo dybala
One of the most intriguing players on the market, Dybala’s contract is due to expire this summer meaning he is likely to leave Juve on a free transfer. There will be no shortage of clubs looking to sign the small and talented Argentine, and it certainly feels like Inter Milan are the favourites. With Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti looking to bring him to the east of Turin, he could be a key element to join Lautaro Martinez in attack. Can you imagine if Inter can get Lukaku back and put Dybala and Martinez on either side? He needs more regular minutes, especially if he wants to take part in the World Cup with Argentina later this year. Inter might be the best place to do it, but expect Tottenham to pursue it as well.

Best Fit: Inter Milan
Provide: Signs a four-year contract with Inter Milan
