Éric Haley is the new 3L head coach
The organization of the 3L de Rivière-du-Loup has confirmed the identity of its head coach for the next season. Eric Haley, a well-known personality in the North American Hockey League (LNAH), succeeds Benoît Laporte who was at the helm of the team in 2019-2020.
In recent years, Eric Haley has held the position of head coach with the Saint-Georges and Laval teams. He previously won three championships as an assistant coach with Trois-Rivières in 2008, as well as with Jonquière in 2013 and 2014.
The hockey man is happy to return to the LNAH, he who was until recently at the head of a senior AAA team.
“I know Eric well, since the days of Trois-Rivières when we won a championship and then we worked together again in Jonquière. I wanted someone intense and turned on behind the bench. JONATHAN HARTY
The 3L organization emphasizes that it is continuing the work in order to present a very competitive team for the next season. In the last days, the Louperivoise formation has also confirmed having acquired the experienced defender Jonathan Hardy. The 33-year-old has played in various leagues in Europe in recent years. He has a character defender and reliable defensively. According to Karl Boucher, it will be a big addition to the blue line.
To make it a place on its protection list, the team traded Alexis Vanier in Laval for the 3rd pick in the next draft and future considerations.
