Epoqu’auto 2021. The essentials of the Show in photos
Epoqu’auto is the largest show dedicated to old cars that it is possible to visit in this year 2021 in France. Exhibitors and visitors are therefore impatient at the idea of meeting at the Lyon exhibition center (Eurexpo) from November 5 to 7. The writing of Argus has crept into the aisles and invites you to discover in pictures the nuggets not to be missed!

Unmissable exhibitions

The show offers visitors three select exhibitions. The first is devoted to the models of the Société Industrielle de Mécanique et de Carrosserie Automobile, in other words » Simca « . Around 80 vehicles are gathered in two halls (5 and 6) with the production range (Dovetail, Chambord, Grand Large…), sports cars (1000 Rallye, 1100 Ti…), surprises (Presidential Chambord cabriolet, 8 Sport Cabriolet Figoni…) and utility vehicles (Cargo, UNIC…).
Bentley is also in the spotlight with 20 cars on display over an area of around 500 m². The retrospective includes the real Bentley 3-liter sport, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1924, a replica of the Speed 6 Coupé Bernato (Blue Train) with which Woolf Barnato won his race against the Blue Train (Cannes-Calais) or the Continental R of the 90s, which marks the end of the era of models produced jointly with Rolls-Royce.

Finally, a large number of Tricyclecars can be admired in hall 6 with a few barn exits. We meet many Morgan as well as Villard, named after a French manufacturer who worked between 1925 and 1935.
Other curiosities to cross
Come and celebrate two birthdays at the L’Aventure Peugeot stand. The VLV, the first electric model from the lion manufacturer (opposite), is celebrating its 80th anniversary. At his side, the Type 3 of 1891. » It is the first automobile car, delivered in France to a private individual »Details the builder to the lion. Also in Hall 5, be sure to discover the fastest Citroën SM of all time on its trailer. This is the first time that this creation, signed by the late Jerry Hathaway, has crossed the Atlantic.

For motorsport fans, do not miss the Total-Elf stand (Hall 5) where the Espace F1 proudly stands as well as single-seaters and Matra prototypes entered at the 24H of Le Mans or in the premier class. Finally, if you are more of a Renault fan, Hall 7 will make your head spin with a retrospective for the 60th anniversary of the 4L. To find out more, go to our slideshow.
