England vs Denmark: Italy awaits the final
The winners of tonight’s semi-final between England and Denmark face Italy in the final on Sunday at a crowded Wembley stadium.
Italy, arguably the tournament team so far, beat the Spaniards on penalties after a 1-1 score in regulation and a 0-0 overtime.
Federico Chiesa put Italy ahead in a match in which, for the first time at Euro 2020, he finished second, before substitute Álvaro Morata tied with Spain at the end.
But the striker missed his penalty on penalties, before Chelsea midfielder Jorginho calmly scored his penalty to send Roberto Mancini into ecstasy. Azzurri in the final, the first of a major tournament since Euro 2012, when they were beaten by Spain.
