Cristiano Ronaldo tied another record in his last appearance for Manchester United in the English Premier League. Against Tottenham on Saturday in Matchday 10, the Portuguese joined Ivorian Didier Drogba as the oldest player to sign a goal and an assist since the Ivorian who coincidentally achieved it at the exact same age in 2014 and also against the same opposing club.

Ronaldo put his name in the English Premier League history books once again when his heroism saw Manchester United 0-3 dominate Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday. His flawless volley from the 36-year-old opened the scoring for United, before the striker gave an assist for Edison Cavani to double the visitors’ lead.

Thanks to his goal and his dedication, Ronaldo tied a Premier League record for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba. For scoring both a goal and an assist at the age of 36 and 267 days, Ronaldo has become the oldest player to do so since the Ivorian who coincidentally did so at the exact same age in 2014. Even stranger, the feat of Ronaldo and that of the 43-year-old former Ivory Coast Elephants captain, are achieved against Tottenham Spurs.
