Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Quinton Fortune has been nominated by the English Football Association to join England’s elite coaching programme.
After retiring from sport, Quinton Fortune donned the coaching suit and served as an assistant for the Red Devils U23 team and the Cardiff U21 team.
The EECP was established by the FA and PFA in 2017 to provide opportunities for coaches to work with England national teams to gain international coaching experience at the highest levels of English football. The program aims to build bigger and more diverse coaching talent for the future.
Fortune is one of the many former stars of the South African national team who chose to approach the coaching career with the historic striker of the Bafana Bafana, Benni McCarthy, or even Bradley Carnell, manager of Louis City SC in MLS , and Steven Pienaar having coached youngsters at Ajax Amsterdam.
