England “have all the makings to win Euro 2020” as Paolo Di Canio reveals what makes Three Lions “something special”

Paolo Di Canio believes England are the favorites to win Euro 2020, and he includes his native Italy in that.

Not Di Canio however. The Italian, who has played for Celtic, West Ham and Charlton, believes England are the team to beat in this tournament.

Di Canio was very impressed with how strong England defensively, they have yet to concede a goal in five matches at Euro 2020.

That, added to their great depth of talent in attack, means it’s competition from England to lose, the former striker believes.

But the Italian Di Canio has England as his favorite

“They have everything and all the ingredients to make it to the final and win,” Di Canio told talkSPORT.

“If you don’t concede, which is something special for England, if you don’t concede, you make a minimum draw.

“I think England, with the mix of players they have and the quality in the defensive areas they have like Rice and Phillips – they’re not like Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard but they have more intensity in the middle of the field and protect the defensive line which they have become almost impossible to beat, ”added Di Canio.

“England might not play the best football in the world, but they play the right football to win the right tournament. This is the way to win.
