Endurance. Bent Viscaal joins Algarve Pro Racing in the ELMS. Sport
Driver in Formula 2 during the 2021 season, Bent Viscaal arrives in Endurance. The 22-year-old Dutchman will team up with Sophia Flörsch for all six rounds of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) at the wheel of the No.19 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca. This car is one of those selected for the 90and edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In F2 with the Trident team, Viscaal signed two second places in Monza and Jeddah, finishing 14and of the championship. In 2020, he had won a victory at Silverstone, in FIA Formula 3.

“I am looking forward to the 2022 season, because the winter break has been long, explains the Batavian. The transition to prototype will be a big change for me. I am very enthusiastic about the idea of taking up the challenge and I am convinced that we will be a competitive team, capable of taking the lead at Le Castellet.

The speed isn’t too different from what I’m used to in Formula 2, but there will certainly be a lot to learn, including effective traffic management. It’s hard to say where we’ll be in terms of performance because the field is very competitive with really good and experienced drivers. »
Bent Viscaal already has « digital » experience of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as he finished 3and of the 2022 virtual edition with the ByKolles team with Tom; Dillmann, Jernej Simoncic and Jesper Pedersen.
