DRC – league 1: The start of the championship postponed to September 14

The DRC championship did not start this Friday, September 03 as planned. The federation requested an eleven-day postponement to allow clubs to comply with the requirements.

The DRC championship starts on September 14th at the request of Fecofa. She sent a note to the league dated September 2 to request the postponement of the start of the competition. According to correspondence, the clubs are behind schedule in the regularization of certain administrative formalities. « We observed that at 48 hours from the start of the Championship, the majority of clubs, due to this particular context, have not completed the administrative formalities inherent in player registrations », she explained in the correspondence .

La Fecofa also mentions the work in progress for the renovation of the Martyrs of Pentecost stadium, which is the main stadium. This stadium notably hosts the FC Renaissance, the Daring Club Motema Pembe as well as the Association Sportive Vita Club.
