Doriane Pin made her return to IMSA last weekend. The 19-year-old Frenchwoman was competing in her second race in the North American Endurance Championship at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, after discovering the United States at the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January.
It was also an opportunity for the driver to get back behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 in the GTD category. Brilliantly, since the Habs took third place in qualifying on the Glen route. In the race, she even hoisted the Iron Dames car in the lead before leaving the wheel to her teammate Michelle Gatting. Despite a disappointing 16th place at the end of the six-hour race, Doriane particularly enjoyed her first on the New York circuit.
» I really enjoyed driving at Watkins Glen for the first time and experiencing the atmosphere of American racingsaid Doriane Pin after the race. We can be satisfied with the qualification we achieved with third place, which shows that the performance is there. I enjoyed every lap I did following and overtaking the leading peloton with a good pace. The end of the race was a little difficult for us, but we keep all the positives in mind and continue to work as a team for the next race.. »
Now heading to the 24 Hours of Spa for Doriane Pin, still with the Iron Dames, before returning to the FIA World Endurance Championship with Prema at the 6 Hours of Monza (July 9).
