Always announced on the departure of the Sixers, Ben Simmons has not yet played a single minute with his team. Not sure if this is the case, since discussions for a trade are currently taking place. Can the file finally be finalized? We take stock.
Without Ben Simmons and with a few injuries during the season, the Sixers still make a big start to the campaign in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers and Pistons are currently in talks for a Ben Simmons trade. He could go to Detroit against Jerami Grant, a young player and a pick for the Sixers.
Jerami Grant has been proving excellent since leaving the Thunder, which is therefore quite surprising. When we think of a young player, there is also the name of Killian Hayes which returns, especially with the arrival of Cade Cunningham in Detroit, while the pick would be only a formality. Still, nothing is confirmed yet.
Getting Simmons will have to pay a price, and the Pistons are interested. But such an offer? Let’s say that for a team in full reconstruction, it is quite doubtful. Ben would be an asset for a roster that aims for the title, for the rest, we can see a real risk-taking.
