Like every year, L’Equipe unveiled this Friday the ranking of the highest paid players in Ligue 1. These estimates correspond to the gross monthly salary and therefore do not include bonuses.
No surprise this year with a Top 10 once again 100% Parisian but a new one in the top three: Lionel Messi, in second position. Neymar remains in first place while Kylian Mbappé drops a notch to third place.

An entirely Parisian top 10
As in previous years, PSG players occupy all the places in the Top 10 highest salaries in Ligue 1. With a sizeable entry this year: Lionel Messidirectly in second place in the ranking with an estimated gross monthly salary of 3.38 million euros. Neymar remains in the lead with an estimated salary of 4.08 million euros per month. Comes next Kylian Mbappe with an estimated salary of 2.22 million euros.
The latest PSG recruits also find themselves directly in the Top 10. This is the case of Ashraf Hakimi who takes sixth place in the ranking with an estimated salary of 1.08 million euros, Giorgino Wijnaldum in ninth place and his salary of 916,000 euros or even Sergio Ramosin twelfth place with a salary of €791,666.
Monaco, Marseille, Nice and Lyon a cut below
To find the first non-Parisian player in this ranking, you have to go down to 15th position. This is the Monaco player Wissam Ben Yedder with an estimated salary of 650,000 euros. In 18th position, another Monaco player: Cesc Fabregas and his salary of 600,000 euros.
Still a notch below, we find the first representative of Olympique de Marseille: Cedric Bakambu, in 23rd position and an estimated salary of 416,000 euros. The first Nice player is in 25th place, it is Justin Kluivert (400,000 euro). And finally, the players of Lyon come to conclude this Top 30 with Tanguy Ndombele and Jerome Boatengtied for 28th with a salary of 350,000 euros.

Pochettino well ahead of the coaches
On the side of the coaches, it is also Paris Saint-Germain who wins the bet. Mauricio Pochettino is the highest paid manager in Ligue 1 with an estimated monthly salary of 1.1 million euros. The details to be found in our dedicated article.
Salaries of D1 players for the first time
L’Equipe publishes for the first time the Top 20 of the highest salaries of Division 1 players. And the gaps between the men are obviously very important since the two highest paid players in France are Ada Hergerberg and Dephine Cascarino, playing at Olympique Lyonnais with a gross monthly salary estimated at 40,000 euros.
