Plagued by injuries, the Uruguayan has decided to terminate his contract with his club.
Arriving during the winter transfer window at Atlético Mineiro, Diego Godin is already seeing his Brazilian adventure come to an end. Indeed, the club announced that the player’s contract had been terminated by mutual agreement.
Godin has only played nine games since his arrival due to multiple injuries. The Uruguayan international could however bounce back in another South American championship: in Argentina.
Enough to allow him to remain active for the World Cup in Qatar, which could be his fourth.
