Diego Costa back with a Premier League big?
Arsenal could pull off a stunt for former Chelsea star Diego Costa, according to reports. The 33-year-old striker is now available for free after terminating his contract with Atletico Mineiro.
The Spaniard has held private talks with several clubs over a transfer, including Arsenal, Goal report. But the Gunners have not submitted a formal proposal to Costa – who has received an offer from the Cadiz La Liga side. Brazilian clubs Corinthians and Sao Paolo are also said to be interested in the striker. Costa only joined Atletico Mineiro last summer but could be set for a return to Europe.
And Arsenal need a striker after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped from the first team ahead of his departure for the Africa Cup of Nations. There is also speculation linking Eddie Nketiah with a move this month to the Gunners side. Bayer Leverkusen and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in the young striker whose contract expires this summer.
