At this time of year normally the NBA season begins and every day is the anniversary of the first game of many legends. Today focus on notable firsts in history:
43-28 : 10/24/1959 Wilt Chamberlain made his NBA debut with the Philadelphia Warriors in New York. He compiled 43 points at 17/27, 28 rebounds and 1 assist, quite simply the points and rebounds record for a first game in the NBA.
21-12-10 : it is on 19/10/1960 thatOscar robertson made his NBA debut and unsurprisingly signed a triple-double with 21 points to 8/20, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He is still the only player in history to have signed a triple-double in his debut.
22-7-12-9 : among the notable performances in history for a 1st, how can we not mention that of Michael carter-williams against the defending champion, the Heat, on 10/30/2013. He signed 22 points at 6/10 including 4/6 at 3-pts, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 9 steals for a victory.
0/16 : the laborious beginnings in the NBA are undoubtedly for the former 1st choice Anthony bennett. He missed his first 16 shots in the NBA and had to wait until the 5th game of the season to get a basket.
18 years, 6 days : On 11/2/2005, Andrew Bynum was playing his first NBA game with the Lakers at just 18 years and 6 days old. To this day he is still the youngest player in history.
35 years, 169 days : Unlike Andrew Bynum, Pablo Prigioni played his first NBA game on 11/2/2012 with the Knicks when he was 35 years old and 169 days old, making him the oldest player to make his league debut.
