Decathlon moves for sport – Image


After proclaiming in its previous campaign that “Sport makes the world a better place”, Decathlon explains how it is contributing to this in a film, designed by its new agency BETC and broadcast on France Télévisions. A demonstration by proof which has only just begun…

« People know that sport is good for them, but often forbid themselves to practice it for various reasons such as price, weather conditions, etc. The film shows how Decathlon moves the lines: while a voice-over enumerates all these barriers, the images show the variety of innovations developed by the brand to remove them and make sport accessible to as many people as possible.The choice of long TV formats (60′, 40′ and 30′) gives us time to tell us and explain how Decathlon moves sport and contributes to making the world a better place. »

A pillar of France Télévisions’ offer, sport is a major challenge in maintaining a public service that is unifying, popular and accessible to all.

France Télévisions is positioned at the crossroads of unifying events and consolidates its position as leader with great audience successes among the French. This summer, 41.5 million viewers followed the Tour de France on our channels. On average, a French person watched 5 hours 41 minutes of the Tour, a record since 2011. Another great success, the first edition of the Tour de France Women brought together nearly 20 million French people for a week. An event which, for sure, made it possible to move the lines.

Our public service mission is more than ever to offer events that bring the nation together, which is aimed at all audiences and the whole family, and to represent the whole of French society, in all its diversity.

It is with this in mind that France Télévisions has obtained the broadcasting rights for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We will thus make accessible to all French people the entirety of the biggest sporting event of the coming years.
