Days, channels, hours… The complete program of the Women’s Euro
Initially scheduled for 2021, the Women’s Football Euro has been postponed by a year, due to the Covid pandemic and the postponement of the Men’s Euro and the Tokyo Olympics. The sixteen best European teams have an appointment this summer in England, from July 6 to 31, for a tournament announced as open and undecided. In 2019, the Women’s Football World Cup organized in France had met with real popular success with unprecedented TV audiences: between eight and eleven million viewers for the matches of Les Bleues. As a result, the broadcasters have decided to offer a very good exposure to this Euro. The Canal+ group holds the broadcasting rights for the entire tournament and will therefore be broadcasting the 31 matches of this 13ᵉ edition of the European championship on its channels. For its part, the TF1 group will offer all the matches of Wendie Renard’s Bleues and in particular the six best posters of the group stage.
The Canal+ and TF1 device for the Women’s Euro
To bring this competition to life, Canal+ calls on its journalists accustomed to football for its magazine Destination Wembley : Hervé Mathoux, Eric Besnard, Gauthier Kuntzmann and Clément Gacheny. Xavier Giraudon, Anne-Laure Salvatico, Théo Douet, Salim Dib and Antony Tobelem will comment on the matches. As for the consultants, subscribers to the encrypted channel will find Laure Boulleau, Jessica Houara-d’Hommeaux, Léa Le Garrec, Béatrice Kaboré, Fabrice Abriel and Jean-Luc Vassseur.
On the other hand, TF1 relies on Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu to comment on the matches of the Bleues which will be followed in their daily life by the journalist Marine Marck (Téléfoot). The other meetings will be deciphered by Sabrina Delannoy and Julien Maynard. After each game, The Mag of the Euro will be back, presented by Denis Brogniart with Camille Abily, Nadia Benmokhtar and Romain Balland.
