David De Gea wants to clear up his future with Ten Hag
David De Gea, whose contract with Manchester United expires next June, wants a clarification regarding his future. A discussion with manager Erik Ten Hag is planned.
David de Gea will meet his manager Erik Ten Hag in the coming days according to information from the Telegraph. The Manchester United goalkeeper wants to take advantage of this meeting to know the intentions of the Dutch technician towards him. Under contract until next June, the Red Devils goalkeeper is worried about having no extension proposal at this stage.
Too high a salary?
Internally, we are considering whether or not to extend David De Gea. His salary, one of the biggest in the Premier League, is problematic. The opportunity is therefore a good one for the Mancunian leaders to lower their payroll by letting their goalkeeper slip away. However, Manchester United still have an option to activate an automatic one-season extension next June. As a reminder, the Spanish international has been playing for the Red Devils since 2011 and is 32 years old.
