Yves Lampaert, winner of the prologue of the last Tour de France, is ill and will not compete in the European Cycling Championships within the Belgian team of which he was to be the leader, announced the coach of Belgium, Sven Vanthpurenhout, tuesday.

According to the latter, Lampaert, 31, fell ill at the end of the Grande Boucle and has not yet recovered.
