COVID-19: Isaiah McKenzie pinned by the NFL
Isaiah McKenzie, a Buffalo Bills player who chose not to be vaccinated against COVID-19, has been brought to order by the NFL for failing to wear his face cover multiple times at the facilities of his team.
McKenzie is a repeat offender when it comes to health and safety measures approved by the NFL. On July 27, the receiver had received a letter telling him that he would be punished for the next offense.
The 26-year-old himself shared the league’s most recent statement on his Twitter account, ironically accompanied by the words: “They got me! The NFL, you win! ”.
We learn that McKenzie twice failed to wear his mask in the interior infrastructure of the Bills, Wednesday afternoon. That same day, he and his teammates received a presentation from the Goodell circuit on the penalties that could be imposed on them if they violated the new rules.
“For players who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, like you, your conduct is expressly prohibited by the protocols. Once again, your conduct could have potentially compromised your safety, but also that of others, as well as the league’s ability to be able to hold club training camps in a safe manner, ”read the press release. NFL.
The sanctions against McKenzie were not specified, but in another message, the player concerned suggests that he was fined $ 14,650.
