Conor Daly was part of Ed Carpenter Racing’s Indycar squad this year. The season having come to an end on September 11 at Laguna Seca, Daly was able to seize the opportunity offered to him to discover the discipline on October 9.
A mixed track made up of a large part of the Charlotte oval and a road portion in Infield, the Roval is a complex track, but Daly’s experience in Indycar should be invaluable to him to better understand the challenge.
Daly will drive the No. 50 Chevrolet for Money Team Racing, a team founded earlier this year by former boxing champion Floyd « Money » Mayweather.
This is a great opportunity for the 30-year-old driver to broaden his driving spectrum as his father Derek Daly did before him. After 5 Formula 1 seasons from 1978 to 1982, the latter successfully turned to Indycar and Endurance, notably winning the 12 Hours of Sebring twice in 1990 and 1991.
